EPISODE SYNOPSIS

OVERVIEW
In Malaysia, teh tarik is often the glue that our lives revolve around, be it with friends or family that in turn form many memories. Cerita Teh Tarik F&N was conceived to showcase such moments in our lives and everyday happenings that are often played out over a glass of teh tarik.  Cerita Teh Tarik F&N is a TV show that invites Malaysians, be it performers, celebrities, and even everyday Malaysians like you and me who have come forward to share their best teh tarik moments and stories on camera. The show is also a tribute to Malaysia’s teh tarik culture.

Each episode will focus on the act of sitting down together to enjoy Malaysia’s favourite drink - as an occasion that brings people together, to strengthen ties. The show captures life in Malaysia, as seen through the eyes of celebrities and everyday folk alike, and will appeal to Malaysians of all ages. The stories that are showcased will reinforce important messages such as unity, family ties, friendship, reconciliation and positive resolutions.

Most importantly - teh tarik session is part of our Malaysia’s multi-racial social culture and F&N is the enabler of such occasion. There are a total of seven episodes, each featuring a special story centered on key teh tarik moments. 

The show is conceived by F&N Dairies (M) Sdn Bhd, - the people behind Malaysia’s No. 1 Condensed Milk brand – F&N Condensed Milk, a staple in teh tarik and other beverages across Malaysia for generations. 

EPISODE 1: B-BOY SENSATION - ALAM
Focusing on dance in Malaysia, this episode takes a closer look at Malaysia’s very own b-boy, Alam, whose talent and passion for hip hop and break dance saw him win in the “So You Think You Can Dance 2007” competition. Get to know Alam better as he shares special moments in his life as a dancer and choreographer and his performances with his fellow b-boys - Wakaka Crew as well as his passion for traditional dance and imparting his knowledge to the younger generation. 

EPISODE 2: BROTHERS IN ARTS – AJIS & RONNIE MOHAMMAD
Features the talented brothers, Ajis Mohammad and Ronnie Mohammad, two of Malaysia’s renowned painters, who are part of the Perkampungan Pelukis Kompleks Kraf in Kuala Lumpur. Ajis’ talks about his inspiration to combine his scuba diving hobby and painting to create the longest underwater painting in Malaysia, while Ronnie highlights his signature contemporary portraits and figurative paintings.

EPISODE 3: AMIN & ALEYA, A LOVE STORY
A sweet love story between Amin and Aleya. Amin had always admired Aleya from afar but their love only blossomed after their very first “date” at a warung teh tarik. The story delves into the budding of Amin and Aleya’s love for each other and shares the light-hearted moments of their courtship.

EPISODE 4: ROCK STARS EXTRAORDINAIRE, ESTRANGED
Features the four young lads from the super hot and popular band, Estranged, who have taken the Malaysian rock scene by storm. Winners of the Best Song Award at the Anugerah Juara Lagu 2008, the boys share their thoughts on the music scene, their daily routines of rehearsals and recording and their inspiration which often comes by getting together at the teh tarik stall.

EPISODE 5: 50 YEARS APART – A TALE OF A MOTHER’S UNDYING LOVE 
A touching re-telling of a long-awaited reunion between Puan Asmah and her two daughters, Rohani dan Azizah, after being separated for almost 50 years. The story takes us through a myriad of emotions as mother and daughters share their feelings of anguish and hope through countless attempts to find each other and the overwhelming joy when they finally meet.

EPISODE 6: TWIN SPARKS, UPIN & IPIN
Features the antics of lovable and mischievous twins, Upin and Ipin, who bring joy and laughter into the homes of thousands of children every week along with their Geng. This episode takes you on a special behind the scenes visit with the show’s creators, writers, voice talents and the entire Upin and Ipin cast.

EPISODE 7: A GATHERING STORM, THE RX8 CLUB
Showcases the bond between the members of an RX8 Club in Malaysia and their passion for the exciting sport of drifting. Tune in to catch them showcase their drifting skills, their convoy excursions beyond the city, as well as members sharing their RX8 experiences at their favourite warung teh tarik.
